The Hong Kong TangoFest is taking a break in 2013.

We’re hoping to be back in 2014 – with something new and different.

Hong Kong TangoFest 2012 – Thank you

Thank you everyone who came and made this year’s Hong Kong TangoFest a great success. Altogether, more than 400 people took part – from across Asia and other parts of the world. We look forward to seeing you again at the next festival.

Action starts tomorrow!

Hong Kong TangoFest 2012 starts tomorrow night, Tuesday, 13 November, with our opening party at the Helena May.

Come along, pick up your passes and meet the festival’s participants.

Doors open 8pm; performances around 10.30pm; dancing till 1am. All at the Helena May, 35 Garden Road, Central.

Otherwise, we’ve got more than 250 people coming to all the milongas, and many of the classes are fill or nearly full.

With demand running high, we’ve added some extra private lesson spots with all three couples. To check times and availability, send an email to info@hktangofest.com.

Current booking status:

Spaces left for all milongas and the Noche de la Nostalgia dinner-concert on Friday, 16 November.

Please note the booking status of the following classes. Any bookings received for classes which are full will be waitlisted.

W1 (Wed 14 Nov – 8-11pm) – FULL for ladies
GA1 (Sat 17 Nov – 1:30-3pm) – FULL for ladies
GA2 (Sat 17 Nov – 3:30-5:30pm) – FULL for ladies
GA4 (Sun 18 Nov – 2-4pm) – FULL for ladies

Sebastian & Maria Ines – workshop status:

W3 (Wed 14 Nov – 8-11pm) – FULL for ladies
T3 (Thu 15 Nov – 8-11pm) – FULL for ladies / 1 space left for men
SMI2 (Sat 17 Nov – 3:30-5:30pm) – FULL for ladies / 2 spaces left for men
SMI3 (Sun 18 Nov – 2-4pm) – FULL
SMI4 (Sun 18 Nov – 4:30-6:30pm) – FULL

A few spaces left in all other classes for both men and ladies.

World renowned performers, choreographers and Argentine tango maestros Gabriel Misse & Analia Centurion will make Hong Kong their exclusive Asian destination of 2012.  This will be your only chance to see them perform and take classes with them this year.

Hong Kong TangoFest Celebrate the Dance will be your only chance in 2012 to see Gabriel Misse & Analia Centurion perform and teach in Asia-Pacific.
